For the first #MenStyleChat of 2013, we spent 2 hours discussing all things menswear.

We then had a quick-fire of the Celebs that were out and about locally and internationally in January 2013 and asked the panel whether the looks were HOT or CHOP.

First up was Cosmo’s sexiest man Greg Hammond at #LQP2013

Then Harry Shum Jr at the SAG Awards Wearing Z Zegna

The panel was conflicted on this street style look with Ombre Pants tucked into boots.

Then our #MenStyleChat came to an end, and with the #MET2013 Fashion choices picked apart by our expert panel.. CSquared announced the winner of the R25k VVIP Weekend to the J&B MET competition.

And the winner is….. MR MATETE SELIANE

Q1. Am throwing a Color blocking party on the 23rd of Sep and I don’t know what to wear please help.

Q2. As a male model I go to lots of networking dinners and events and go-see’s (with clients). This is different from castings as there are no briefs on dress code.I always have trouble deciding what to wear.

I try to look stylish, but my agent always says I over power and draw attention to my clothes instead of me. When I try to keep it simple, he says I should bring it up a notch.

I am confused.

What’s the correct dress code at social settings that say, classy yet not over powering, trendy yet tasteful? I’ve attached a picture of what I was planning to wear to another one of this big networking events.
